Namely this erection standing in my way of extending my driveway, building a carport and having more covered room for vehicles.
So just curious what others have paid for similar sized pines to be removed so I can figure what ballpark I “should” be in.

How close is it to those wires? Hard to tell with the fish eye picture. Proximity to wires and buildings makes a difference in how hard it will be (and how much it will cost).
If you get a few quotes, you’ll find that they vary all over the map - wouldn’t surprise me to see quotes between 1500 and 3000+ for the same damn job.

Just go in front of it, I hate people that cut down nice trees, sorry. I would kill for a yard or a nice tree.

Yeah that’s Google Earth, the wires are at the street and the tree is 50 some feet back near the house. I should have gone and gotten some better photos but this is just ideas.

Just Take it down,
Or take it down and clean up
or take it down, clean up and remove stump?
Depending on amount wanted done can swing it $200-1000.
Any rot in the trunk, meaning it woud have to come down in peices.

I would, but I dont want to pour a driveway and have the roots crack it in 5 years. However, to offset I did plant a red maple sapling in the middle of my front yard and killed off a strangler vine on my giant cedar in the back yard (white dogwood will be planted this spring).
Also this pine is unfortunately a risk hazard. We had a snow storm and the lower branches were so thick they held enough snow to be touching the ground and it currently has some 3k pinecones on it.

We paid about $1500 for some trees that sized near some power lines. We’ve been quoted $3k for the massive one in our front yard.

We had 12+ trees near our house taken down a few years back. The guy took some of the best wood for lumber, and I kept the rest for firewood, which heated my house for a winter. All this cost me I think $800.
Ordinarily I would have done the work myself, but several of these trees were quite large and would have taken me hours, each, to do safely.

I had 2 removed that size last year for $800 each. Would of been probably $1000 if I had only had one cut down. If you can get it done for $1000 with the stump grounded that would be a good price IMO.

$1500-$2000 all in (with haulaway). Just guessing.

Taken down, stump ground, I told them minimal cleanup since I want firewood (outdoor pit). They said 18" logs altogether for $850 - which has been the best offer so far.

Hard to say - my guess is anywhere between 500 and 1500, depends on tree condition and space around it.

I would guesstimate between $1,000 and $2,000. They will probably have to delimb and top it before dropping it.

That sounds like a great deal, at least for my area.
I saved about $500 delimbing 90% of two trees that size myself, which was legitimately a lot of fun

I do have access to a bucket truck, and I have a chain saw.... This could get interesting...

We paid $700 for a 30ft fir tree, they brought a chipper truck, cut it right to the ground, and cleaned everything up. One faller and three grunts to carry the pieces.

Get a long row rope, climb the tree and tie it 3/4 of the way up, tie to F150, pull with truck and cut base. Comes down on one piece and won’t hit the house

If you bring the F150 I’ll supply the rope and chainsaw. Easymode.

Oh man. What I wouldn’t give for a log like that. Last time I got my hands on some spruce slabs, it got turned into my dining room table.

And what else you drive

Depends, does your town or neighborhood require you hire somebody that is licensed and bonded. It seems like that makes the price go up in some places.

Im open to ideas. Ultimately I was just going to turn it into an outdoor fire pit fuel
